That seems to be happening to AOL. They proudly issue press releases trumpeting their 16 million subscribers, but apparently can't retain control of their own chat rooms. AOL Watch confirmed reports that a message from hackers appeared one Sunday night to users who tried to chat.

But purchasers of an Acer computer will get a message from AOL! Steve Case would have you believe AOL is so easy to use, customers flock to it -- but behind this carefully-crafted image lies hundreds of millions of dollars in promotional deals, including pre-installation on most of the major computers in America.
